- Course notes: 140+ pages of downloadable summary notes. The notes are clearly marked and follow each of the topics listed on the FIA Syllabus v4.0. The notes should be worked through in conjunction with the videos to ensure you are fully prepared to take the exam. We recommend you print these off and make your own notes as you watch the videos.
- Quizzes to test your knowledge: There is a multiple choice quiz section to complete at the end of each module. It is recommended that you do the quiz without referring to the notes so that you gain a better understanding of the areas you may need to focus on.
LENGTH OF ACCESS TO THE COURSE:
Purchase of a subscription to the course gives you access for 365 days to view all the videos in a particular module. The countdown begins from the first time you click on one of the videos. During this time you can watch the videos as many times as you like and you can also redo the quizzes too.

Is the qualification internationally recognised?
Yes, FISD includes among its members the major banks, brokers, investment houses, exchanges and data providers in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and all across Asia Pacific.
How advanced is the content?
The detail covered in the FIA syllabus is of an introductory level and is aimed at those with less than 3 years industry experience. However, as the syllabus covers a wide range of topics, there may be sections where even the more experienced practitioner may require some additional study material.

How much does the exam cost?
The exam normally costs US$500 and should be booked directly with the FISD. However when you purchase this course though Finance Modules you will receive a discount code that will save you US$75.
What does the exam consist of?
The exam contains 150 multiple choice questions and you receive your results immediately upon completion of the exam. You take the certification under exam conditions at an independent test center close to where you live and work. Click here for more information on the exam.
What is the pass mark?
In order to pass the exam you’ll need to achieve a score of at least 75%.
How hard is it to pass this exam?
Passing this exam is not just a tick in the box, nor should it be seen as an onerous or frightening obstacle. Currently, just less than three quarters of those who take the exam pass first time. Re-takes are available at US$150 and bookable through the FISD.
How long will it take to study?
For someone studying through e-learning, we recommend 4 to 6 hours of study a week over a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
